When your provider settles your claim they will either replace the item or items in questions, or will pay for repair or replacement of the item.  If the wedding attire has been hired then they will cover the hire charges.  This cover includes damage or loss to wedding attire of the wedding party.  Note: the term ‘wedding party’ will comprise of the following members: bride, groom, their parents or guardians, best man/woman, ushers and bride’s attendants.

Again, there will be an excess to pay for any claim that you make, the amount of this being will be set by your provider.

What is NOT covered is normal damage (wear and tear) or soiling of the wedding dress which inevitably happens during the wedding day.  There may be other exclusions such as failure to report a theft of an item of wedding attire within a reasonable period of time (after discovery).  Loss or damage to wedding accessories, however, if they and the wedding attire are damaged, or stolen at the same time then a payment may be made.  And, theft or attempted theft from a vehicle in which security precautions were not taken (such as failure to lock away wedding attire in the boot or hidden from view.  If your provider feels that you did not take sufficient measures to ensure that your wedding attire was both safe and secure they may not pay out on a claim.
